Here’s the first of our tips on taking care of Hard Hats:
- Replace a hard hat if it is cracked, dented, or has taken a heavy blow – be ruthless with this one – throw it out.
- Store head protection in the shade, away from extreme temperatures, and in a safe place where they can’t get damaged.
- Check the headband and lining to make sure that it isn’t stretched, worn or unhygienic and that the hat fits comfortably on the head.
- Hard hats should be washed regularly with warm water and detergent and allowed to dry before use.
